Who supplies Chick-fil-A's potatoes for Waffle Potato Fries?
For nearly 40 years, Eagle, Idaho-based potato company Lamb Weston has provided Waffle Potato Fries and Hash Browns to Chick-fil-A restaurants. Like us, Lamb Weston believes what we do today can have an impact for years to come. They are working to reduce their impact on the environment, use less water and energy, create less waste and develop foodservice packaging that is fully recyclable in multiple waste streams. The company is also working to implement sustainably focused potato growing practices on its farm and shared those practices with more than 100 farmers working 170,000 acres of land. To learn more about Lamb Weston's practices, read the 2020 Chick-fil-A CSR Report. To support our growth in recent years, Chick-fil-A also purchases Waffle Potato Fries from The J.R. Simplot Company. The J.R. Simplot Company believes in feeding the world responsibly and sustainability, and corporate responsibility are woven into their business practices, commitments and core values to ensure they meet their goal of helping to feed a growing population. They value the environmental, social, and economic needs of their employees, customers, partners and communities, and are committed to addressing issues that encompass and affect the people they employ and serve, the planet as a whole, and the prosperity that comes from their work.
