Chick-fil-A East Hills Owner-Operator Paul Bustard and his family.

As the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A East Hills, seasoned business leader Paul Bustard looks forward to serving and strengthening the Calgary community.

Calgary native Paul Bustard, a dedicated community member and seasoned business leader, is set to open Calgary's newest Chick-fil-A restaurant,
Chick-fil-A East Hills, in Spring 2025. With over two decades of experience in the grocery retail industry and a passion for creating positive community impact, Paul is ready to bring his expertise and enthusiasm to this new role.

Connected across Canada
Paul was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and studied business management at Northern Lights College in British Columbia. He then embarked on a successful career path within the grocery retail industry, most recently serving as a catalyst for franchise growth in Western Canada with a well-known Canadian supermarket brand.

Prioritizing Care and Community in Calgary
For the past 10 years, Paul has lived within a 10-minute drive of where his future Restaurant will be located, and is excited about the platform that Chick-fil-A East Hills will provide to deepen his impact in the local community. Having a positive influence in Calgary is important to him, and is evident in his ongoing involvement with many local organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids.

Paul also looks forward to engaging in two signature Chick-fil-A corporate social responsibility programs: the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ scholarship program, which supports educational opportunities for Restaurant Team Members, and the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program, which addresses community hunger by redirecting surplus food from
Chick-fil-A restaurants to non-profits that provide meals for neighbours in need.

Paul has a simple, yet powerful, vision for his Restaurant: “Making our community a better place to work, live, and play.” He sees Chick-fil-A East Hills as more than a Restaurant—he envisions it as a hub for community connection and positive impact.

“I’m looking forward to creating employment opportunities and continuing to be actively involved in our Calgary community," Paul shares. He plans to offer his Team Members an array of benefits, such as tutoring, financial literacy programs and leadership development opportunities for high school students. Additionally, he intends to host quarterly team-building events, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.

Beyond the Restaurant
Outside of work, Paul cherishes spending quality time with his wife, M'Liss, and their three teenage sons. M'Liss will also be a part of the Chick-fil-A East Hills team, providing part-time HR support.

As Chick-fil-A East Hills prepares to open, the community can look forward to experiencing Paul's dedication to service, his commitment to creating a positive environment and his passion for making a difference in Calgary.
